Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high-quality provision of care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, which stretches from Ingham in the North, Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West and Palm Island to the East. We have grown to include 6 Early Learning Centres, 9 Kindergartens and 14 Outside School Hours Care centres.

Are you a qualified teacher (or equivalent) with a passion to deliver on, and shape the educational and inclusion outcomes for children in early childhood? Are you passionate to lead and drive change by mentoring and supporting educational practices? 
  
MMCNQ is growing! We are seeking experienced and qualified Education and Inclusion Teaching Specialist (or equivalent) to develop inclusive practices and mentor and support educational staff in their delivery across MMCNQ Services. These roles will partner with our services to identify children's developmental learning concerns and diversity, build appropriate strategies and resources, and drive the implementation of contemporary, high quality, inclusive pedagogy that supports the inclusion needs of all children to achieve best outcomes and success.

Duties will include a strong focus on all matters relating to the Safeguarding of children and vulnerable people. There will be a requirement to build and maintain stakeholder relationships within the Catholic Diocese and the wider Early Childhood Education and Care sector. 

Successful candidates will be required to travel to our services in Townsville, Ingham, Mt Isa, Palm Island, Proserpine and Bowen.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Degree qualified with specialties in Early Childhood Education, Inclusion and/or responsive behaviour practices
• Demonstrated experience in supporting the implementation of contemporary, high quality, inclusive pedagogy in early childhood and school based setting or similar
• Excellent interpersonal skills including high level oral and written communication skills, negotiation and problem solving with capacity to interact effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
• Paid Working With Children Check (Blue Card)
• National Criminal History Check
