Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high-quality provision of care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, which stretches from Ingham in the North, Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West and Palm Island to the East. We have grown to include 6 Early Learning Centres, 9 Kindergartens and 14 Outside School Hours Care centres.

About the position
St Mary MacKillop Early Learning Centre, Kirwan are seeking a passionate Diploma Qualified Educator and Lead Educator to join their team on a permanent, part-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week. 

As a Lead Educator you will have the chance to lead and mentor educators in the creation and delivery of programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards. Working closely with our Centre Leader, you’ll drive continuous improvements in the educational experiences we offer to children.

Kirwan ELC is led by a skilled leader who supports and empowers our dedicated team. We are seeking passionate and committed educators who are enthusiastic about early childhood education. In addition, we are participating in the Government Funded Workforce Retention Payments as part of our commitment to valuing and retaining talented Educators. 

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Hold or 50% completed a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or an ACECQA approved equivalent qualification
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Current First Aid Certificate Including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis or ability to obtain before commencement
