Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high-quality provision of care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, which stretches from Ingham in the North, Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West and Palm Island to the East. We have grown to include 6 Early Learning Centres, 9 Kindergartens and 14 Outside School Hours Care centres.
About the position
As the Early Childhood Teacher, you will provide quality care and education for children that support children’s developmental and educational needs in a hands-on approach, working in partnership with families, children and stakeholders.
We have the following position available:
- Full time fixed term Early Childhood Teacher working 38 hours per week located at our St Mary MacKillop Early Learning Centre, Rasmussen. You will provide maternity leave cover from late April until October 2025. There may be potential to work for alternative services at the end of this assignment.
Our centres have many families and staff from different cultures and backgrounds who are encouraged and supported in sharing their experiences with educators, children, and other families. Community is a fundamental aspect of the service offered by St Mary Mackillop Early Learning in Townsville.
What you’ll need to succeed: - Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
- Current Queensland College of Teachers registration
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Current First Aid Certificate Including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis or ability to obtain before commencement
- Understanding and knowledge of National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place Framework
- Ability to learn new systems and child care management software (XPlor)
- National Criminal History Check
