Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high-quality provision of care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, which stretches from Ingham in the North, Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West and Palm Island to the East.

About the position
At Columba Kindergarten and Care, Charters Towers we provide long day-care for children aged 3-5 through a Queensland Government approved Kindergarten program. As a hub facility, we also offer before, after school care and vacation care for not only children that attend the school but also the greater community.

Our centre is seeking a passionate and creative Coordinator on a part-time permanent basis to provide support to both services. This position is 37.5 hours per week and will require a variety of shifts spanning from 7:00am to 5:30pm and will commence as soon as practicable.

You will join a supportive environment and will have the opportunity to manage and mentor a team of Educators while guiding the service development to meet local needs with the support from your Business Operations Consultant and other experts in their fields from Mary MacKillop Childcare NQ.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Diploma of Early Childhood & Care or ACECQA equivalent (Education Support, studying Bachelor of Teaching ect)
• Current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis qualifications
• Experience delivering education and/or care of children
• Ability to develop and continually build professional relationships with the team, families and stakeholders
• Demonstrate a commitment to develop a requisite knowledge and understanding of the operations of the education and care services
