About the role

Our client is seeking an Associate Advisor to join their team on a full-time basis, located at their bright, modern Melbourne CBD office. Work alongside a highly experienced team including a Senior Financial Adviser, Financial Adviser and Client Services Officer. You will assist in the delivery of comprehensive financial advice to a defined book of existing and new clients, with an expectation to participate in client meetings from day one. 

Key responsibilities

• Prepare strategy and investment advice documents including detailed financial and cashflow modelling.
• Attend and contribute to client meetings.
• Follow all established firm business processes and contribute to continuous improvements through projects.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and external professionals
• Proactively liaise with Client Services and Operations team to ensure service of the highest level is delivered to clients, accurately and timely.

Skills and Experience

• Open to an individual from an accounting or legal background
• Driven to become a financial adviser in the next 3 years
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Robust organisational skills and strong attention to detail
• Thorough understanding of the financial advice process, products, and industry
• Financial Planning CRM experience
• Bachelor degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Law or related.
