Role;
Our client is a specialist firm that provides wealth advisory, tax, accounting, to their HNW clients. We are seeking a proactive and detail-focused Client Support Assistant to support the operational delivery of tax services within our holistic financial services business. This role plays a key part in ensuring clients are efficiently onboarded, tax obligations are met on time, and ensure internal systems run smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate end-to-end client onboarding, including preparing engagement letters, tracking acceptance, and collecting key compliance documents
  • Setting up of clients in relevant CRM systems and ensuring client data across systems is current and synchronised
  • Proactive management of our Tax Agent Lodgement Program
  • Assist with the management of the tax & accounting team workflow
  • Manage daily ATO correspondence
  • Contacting the ATO to set up or negotiate payment plans
  • Preparation of tax packs for lodgement
  • Assist with communication to clients to gather information and provide updates
  • Provide general administrative support to the team
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement and efficiency

Minimum Skills & Experience:

• Experience in a similar role within public practice accounting
• Working knowledge of Australian taxation laws, particularly individual tax and GST
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
• A positive and friendly attitude
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Commerce or related field 
• Must have full working rights in Australia
