Full Time Cashier/ Retail Store Clerk Key Responsibilities:
- Balance and accurately count cash floats, and complete weekend deposits.
- Operate the cash register and process payments including cash, cheques, and credit/debit cards.
- Deliver a high level of customer service and support.
- Assist with merchandising and promotional activities, including pet, feed, animal health, and equipment products.
- Collaborate with the management team and staff to maximize store sales.
- Maintain a professional appearance, positive demeanor, and strong customer service focus at all times.
Qualifications: - Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a retail environment; agricultural or farm knowledge is considered an asset and preferred.
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with store security and closing procedures, including key holder responsibilities and alarm system activation.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Availability to work full-time hours on a rotating shift schedule, including Monday through Sunday. Shifts may include mornings (9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.) and evenings (11:00 a.m. – 7:00m.). This is shift work and schedules will vary week to week.
