Registered Nurse – Mobile Clinic

Turuki Health Care is a kaupapa Maaori organisation delivering integrated health, wellbeing and social services across Taamaki Makaurau. Our mission is to provide high-quality, accessible and affordable healthcare to whaanau, with a strong focus on equity and culturally responsive care.
We are seeking a passionate, experienced and community-focused Registered Nurse to join our Mobile Clinic Team, delivering healthcare directly to whaanau in communities across South Auckland.
You will work alongside GPs and our wider clinical team, providing nursing assessments, vaccinations, swabbing, health education and support to patients, including those with complex health needs.
Applicants must be currently residing in Aotearoa, have the legal right to work and have relevant local work experience.
Te whiwhinga mahi – The opportunity
As a valued member of our mobile and clinical team, you will work alongside GPs, HCAs and Administrators to provide high-quality, culturally safe and whaanau-centred healthcare in locations across the community. This is a hands-on community nursing role, taking healthcare directly to whaanau and helping improve access and health outcomes across South Auckland.
This is a full-time position working rostered shifts between 8.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive nursing assessments, triage and clinical care
- Monitoring and assessing patient health status, including vital signs and clinical observations
- Delivering vaccinations, swabbing and other appropriate nursing procedures
- Providing health education, advice and support to patients and whaanau
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical notes and data entry in Medtech
- Ensuring clinical areas, equipment and supplies are prepared and maintained to a high standard
- Working collaboratively with GPs and the wider clinical team to coordinate patient care
- Providing compassionate, culturally responsive and whaanau-centred care in a community setting
Ngaa puukenga me ngaa wheako – Skills and experience To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A current NZ Practising Certificate and indemnity insurance
- Strong clinical assessment and nursing skills
- Experience in primary or community care
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience supporting vulnerable patients
- A genuine commitment to Maaori and Pasifika health and whaanau-centred care
- A current NZ Full Driver Licence
- A willingness to learn, develop and contribute as part of a team
The ability to speak Te Reo Maaori or a Pacific language is highly advantageous.
