Data and Reporting Lead

We are looking for a skilled and relationship focused Data and Reporting Lead to help strengthen data quality, reporting capability and operational improvement across our organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining analytics, process improvement and people engagement to create meaningful impact in healthcare and social services.
Based in Manukau, this is a full-time role working Monday to Friday within our Data and Digital team, reporting to the Data and Digital Team Leader.
As the Data and Reporting Lead, you will lead initiatives that improve data quality, reporting accuracy and organisational confidence in data-driven decision making. You will work closely with both clinical and non-clinical teams to support operational excellence, funding compliance and improved service delivery.
In this role, you will be:
- Developing and maintaining operational dashboards and reports
- Monitoring data quality and identifying improvement opportunities
- Training staff to build confidence and capability in data systems and processes
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation
- Translating complex data into clear and actionable insights
- Supporting evidence-based decision making and contract reporting requirements
Ngaa puukenga me ngaa wheako – Skills and experience We are looking for someone who is analytical, collaborative and passionate about improving outcomes through quality data.
You will bring:
- Experience in data quality, reporting or business intelligence roles
- Strong skills in Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau or similar tools
- Experience designing dashboards and delivering operational reporting
- Experience with Medtech Evolution (highly desirable)
- The ability to identify and resolve data quality issues systematically
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain data clearly to non-technical audiences
- Experience supporting process improvement and change initiatives
- A coaching mindset with confidence training and supporting kaimahi
- Experience in health, social services or NGO environments (highly desirable)
- Full driver’s licence
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand
- Clean criminal record
Knowledge of kaupapa Maaori approaches and the ability to work respectfully with Maaori, Pacific and diverse communities is important to this role.
