IT Support Engineer

Te whiwhinga mahi – The opportunity
We are looking for a motivated and people-focused IT Support Engineer to join our Data and Digital team.
Based in Manukau, this is a full-time role working Monday to Friday within our Data and Digital team, reporting to the Data and Digital Team Leader.
As our IT Support Engineer, you will provide Level 1 and Level 2 IT support across the organisation, helping kaimahi effectively use technology and systems in their day-to-day work. You will work closely with our external IT provider and internal teams to troubleshoot issues, support system improvements and contribute to ongoing digital projects.
In this role, you will:
- Provide responsive technical support to kaimahi across multiple sites
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, Microsoft 365 and networking issues
- Support the setup and configuration of Windows 11 devices and systems
- Maintain accurate ticketing and technical documentation
- Assist with IT maintenance, upgrades and system improvements
- Support kaimahi with technology training and guidance
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external IT providers to resolve issues efficiently
- Ensure compliance with IT security and data protection practices

You will bring:
- Previous experience in an IT support or helpdesk environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams
- Experience supporting Windows-based environments and networking technologies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to support non-technical users
- Experience with IT ticketing or service management systems
- A proactive, collaborative and customer-focused approach
- A willingness to learn and grow within a supportive environment
- Full driver’s licence
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand
- Clean criminal record
An understanding of kaupapa Maaori values and the ability to work respectfully with Maaori, Pacific and diverse communities is highly valued.
