Wairua Practitioner
                                                                                                                
Turuki Health Care is a kaupapa Maaori organisation delivering integrated health, wellbeing and social services across Taamaki Makaurau. Our mission is to provide high quality, accessible and affordable healthcare to whaanau, with a dedicated focus on equity and culturally responsive care.
  
This position is central to supporting the wairua wellbeing of our people and environment. As our Wairua Practitioner, you will bring strong cultural integrity, lived experience and the ability to work confidently in te ao wairua.
  
We are seeking an experienced and capable Wairua Practitioner who can provide guidance, hold space and support the spiritual and cultural wellbeing of our kaimahi and whaanau. This opportunity is based in Manukau, Auckland and is a part-time role, 3 days per week.
  
Te whiwhinga mahi – The opportunity
  
In this role, you will:

• Provide guidance in matters of wairua wellbeing
• Facilitate and support whitiwhiti koorero
• Deliver mirimiri and other healing practices where appropriate
• Lead and support karakia across a range of settings
• Hold and protect sacred spaces, processes and tikanga
• Work alongside kaimahi and whaanau to uplift and restore balance

Ngaa puukenga me ngaa wheako – Skills and experience
  
We are looking for someone who:

• Has a strong grounding in te ao Maaori and works confidently aa wairua
• Is experienced in whitiwhiti koorero, mirimiri and karakia
• Demonstrates humility, integrity and deep cultural awareness
• Has the ability to guide others with wisdom, patience and clarity
• Is trusted within their community and able to hold responsibility for this kaupapa
• Brings at least 5 years experience supporting individuals and groups through wairua practices
• Professional presentation and a strong work ethic
• Full driver’s licence preferred
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand
• Clean criminal record
