Te whiwhinga mahi - The Opportunity
  
Our Tupuranga Ake team are looking for a new whaanau focused individual to join us in Maangere central. Our team support parents and guardians with tamariki aged between 3 and 5 years old to access early childhood education (ECE) options that work best for their whaanau. The hours of work for this role are 8.30am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday
  
You will work with whaanau to determine what the barriers are around ECE and create a support plan that can help them. Our team coordinate koohanga/ kindergarten visits, create learning packs for tamariki, hold play and sensory workshops and network with service provides across South Auckland
  
We are looking for someone who is kind, gets along well with others, has a passion for education and is able to build relationships with the whaanau they work with
  
Ngaa puukenga me ngaa wheako - Skills and Experience 

• Must have prior experience working with tamariki or be a passionate maamaa who wants to help others
• Have experience working in the community or within a social services setting supporting Maaori and Pasifika whaanau
• Strong computer skills as this role requires you to input data into our system and research different ECE options
• Be able to manage your time effectively
• NZ Full Drivers Licence
• The ability to speak Te Reo Maaori or another language is advantageous
