Are you passionate about supporting rangatahi to dream big and plan for their future?
  
We are looking for a dedicated Youth Worker to join our Rangatahi Hub based in Manukau, on a fixed-term contract through to 1 July 2026. This role focuses on supporting rangatahi, leveraging networks across Turuki services and your own professional contacts to provide wrap-around support and walk alongside rangatahi as they plan for life after leaving youth services. You will help them to:
  

• Build independence, resilience and pride in who they are
• Explore pathways in education, training or employment
• Transition confidently into adulthood with the right supports in place
• Have a trusted advocate and mentor walking alongside them

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako – Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone with:
  

• Experience working with rangatahi in youth work, mentoring, education or Kaupapa Māori services
• Understanding of the challenges faced by rangatahi in care and the importance of smooth transitions to adulthood
• The ability to connect, engage and build trust with young people and their whānau
• Cultural awareness and respect for Te Ao Māori, tikanga and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• Strong communication, problem-solving and relationship-building skills
• A relevant qualification in youth work, social services, counselling or equivalent experience
• Full NZ drivers’ licence and permanent residency or NZ citizenship
