AWHI Assessor
Turuki Health Care is a kaupapa Māori organisation delivering integrated health, wellbeing and social services across the Tāmaki Makaurau region. We provide quality, accessible, and affordable healthcare and support to whānau.
This position is fulltime, Monday to Friday and is based at our Manukau office.
AWHI Healthy Homes Initiative is a free service for whānau living in the Counties Manukau area. Our team work to ensure homes support the health and wellbeing of whānau. We can assist with new bedding, heating, curtains and overall practical advice to help keep the home warm.
The key to this position is your desire to work at a community level. You will undertake housing assessments, develop an action plan and provide support for whānau to access other services as needed. You will be able to promote awareness of rheumatic fever and provide education to increase engagement and housing literacy messages to whānau.
You will need to have great communication and interpersonal skills and be able to engage with and foster relationships with whānau. You will have a passion for working with high needs communities whilst also being able to maintain professional boundaries.
