Te Whare Marama - Team Lead

Turuki Health Care is a kaupapa Māori Health and Social Services provider with services based in Māngere, Manukau and Panmure.  We provide quality, accessible, and affordable health care and support to whānau.  
  
This position is fulltime, Monday to Friday and is based at our Manukau location.
   
In this position you will provide team leadership and support of the delivery of the Healthy Homes initiative. The aim of this initiative is to identify and engage with eligible whānau and encourage healthy homes education that reduce cold, damp and unhealthy homes.

        To lead and meet the service goals and expectations by:

• Reducing housing related illnesses
• Achieve position outcomes for both social and health outcomes for whānau
• Support whānau to secure a whare, maintain a whare and live well in their whare
  
  Your experience and skills will include:
  
• Experience leading a team while undertaking a caseload.
• Have strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience developing strategies to support and/or engage whānau.
• Experience being key contact with other agencies and referrers.
• Experience working directly with clients and their whanau
• The ability to build and maintain high quality relationships across Turuki and your team
• NZ full driver’s licence
• Ability to speak Te Reo Māori or other languages would be an advantage
