Kaiwhakatere (AWHI Assessor)
Turuki Health Care is a kaupapa Maori organisation delivering integrated health and social services to the wider Counties Manukau and ADHB area. We provide quality, accessible, and affordable health care and support to whanau.
This position is fulltime, Monday to Friday and is based at our Mangere location.
The position covers the local Mangere community as well as the wider South Auckland area. We require a Kaiwhakatere (AWHI Assessor) to deliver a holistic case management service for whanau who require support to ensure their homes are healthy, warm and dry.
The key to this position is your desire to work at a community level, the ability to undertake housing assessments, develop an action plan and provide support for whanau to access other services as needed. You will be able to promote awareness of rheumatic fever and provide education to increase engagement and housing literacy messages to whanau.
You will need to have great communication and interpersonal skills, engage with and foster relationships with whanau. Be passionate in dealing with high needs communities while also being able to maintain professional boundaries.
