WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As the Regulatory Officer*, you will play a key role in applying legislation and regulatory frameworks, executing key compliance processes, and developing sound recommendations for resolving employer non-compliance matters.  
  
You will:  

• review and investigate escalations to determine the existence and scope of employer non-compliance
• directly engage with employers to execute core processes to deliver key regulatory outcomes
• resolve employer non-compliance in the first instance, or trigger appropriate escalation pathways
• manage escalation workflow, including documentation, CRM, reporting and further internal escalations
• be provided with key growth and development opportunities to build on your regulatory and compliance experience, through upskilling and training seminars and attendance at industry events

*This role is internally known as Regulatory Management Officer. The title has been changed for advertising purposes only.
  
This is a permanent role based in Newcastle.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
To be successful in the role of Regulatory Officer, you will have experience working in a regulatory, compliance, audit, risk, assurance or similar environment, with the ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies or frameworks. You will be curious, analytical and able to investigate issues, assess information and develop practical solutions.
  
Your background will demonstrate your:

• Experience interpreting and applying legislation, processes and procedures within a highly regulated environment
• Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with a sound ability to communicate and consult with a wide range of stakeholders in a confident and effective manner
• Ability to devise and communicate complex information and concepts clearly, concisely and with influence
• Understanding, and experience in applying, best practice consultation principles and tools
• Ability to provide guidance, feedback, support and educate peers

You will have a bachelor’s degree or professional certifications or equivalent relevant experience.
