About the role
We are looking for a customer-focused team member with an interest in technology to join our Data Centre Operations team on a part-time basis.
Based in our Wellington CBD office, you'll help keep our cloud services secure, available and reliable 24/7 by:
- Providing first-level customer support
- Monitoring systems and responding to alerts
- Escalating issues to the wider team
- Maintaining documentation and reports
- Following operational policies and procedures
This is an office-based role supporting customers online and by phone.
You'll work as part of a rotating roster covering days, nights, weekends and public holidays. Everyone takes their share of these shifts, so you must be flexible about when you work and able to commit to all rostered shifts.
The role averages 24 hours per week (approximately three shifts), although the specific shifts vary from week to week.
Base pay is $31 per hour for standard day shifts, with additional payments for night and weekend work.
Who are we looking for?
This is an entry-level opportunity, and we value aptitude and attitude over previous IT experience.
You'll be:
- Interested in technology and keen to learn
- Customer-focused with strong communication skills
- Reliable and able to commit to a rotating roster
- A proactive problem solver
- Motivated to develop a career in IT
Experience with Oracle technologies is helpful but not required.
As some shifts will fall outside of public transport availability, we prefer applicants who live within walking distance of our offices. If you are located outside walking distance to the office, you must hold a full driver’s license.
