Tenterfield Care Centre is proudly part of the Apollo Care Alliance, dedicated to providing the highest quality residential aged care in a homely environment. Our mission is to enable each resident to live their best life with dignity and grace, empowering our employees with the necessary resources and support.
Spilt between two sites, Haddington and Millrace are welcoming country-style communities where we support each resident to maintain their interests, familiar routines and connections to the people and places they love.

TCC offers residential aged care (including dementia-specific care), independent living, respite, and community aging services through the operation of Haddington Nursing Home and Millrace Hostel.

The Role

We are looking for Lifestyle Officer on a full-time basis, who is passionate about a person-centered approach to care, to join our wonderful facility in Tenterfield, NSW. 

The primary purpose of a Lifestyle Officer is to support residents to live well through the provision of spiritual care, including pastoral, emotional, and psychological support.

Nestled in the picturesque New England region, it offers stunning countryside views and a relaxed rural lifestyle. The town boasts a welcoming community, excellent local produce, and various cultural events, making it a great place to live for those seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

What you will do

The Lifestyle Officer is responsible for:

• Liaising and working collaboratively with the Care Team and volunteers to provide holistic care aligned to individual needs of our residents
• Social support assessments and developing care plans
• Delivering care services to individuals based on their care plan
• Nurturing residents hobbies and interests
• Manage Leisure and lifestyle activities  
• Conduct group activities that address mental, physical, spiritual, psychological and emotional needs.

What you will bring 

• At least 1 years' experience in a similar role
• Cert 3 or 4 in Leisure and Health or similar
• Hold and maintain a NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain) 
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
