Role Overview:
As Residential Life & Operations Supervisor, you will play a key role in fostering a thriving residential community, working alongside the Property Manager to provide pastoral care, assist with academic matters and champion resident wellbeing, ensuring that it remains a central focus of our operation. You will also have the opportunity to develop and organise a holistic calendar of events for residents, to enrich their educational, cultural, and social experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and enhance the Residential Life & Wellbeing Program, ensuring the seamless delivery of events, welfare initiatives, and pastoral care.
- Monitor and support resident well-being, collaborating with university services to foster a safe and supportive community.
- Design and implement a dynamic events program that promotes academic success, career growth, social engagement, well-being, sustainability, and community involvement.
- Recruit, train, and guide a team of Residential Advisors, fostering a positive team culture and driving strong performance.
- Assist with contract renewals, rental arrears, and bonds, while overseeing event budgets and maintaining strong partnerships with universities and stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary after-hours contact for residents, responding to emergencies and ensuring their safety and well-being.
About You: It is essential that you possess high-level interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and nurture effective relationships with people from diverse backgrounds. You will also provide pastoral care, supporting residents through challenges with a compassionate approach, ideally backed by experience in wellbeing or mental health. More about you:

- Valid National Police Check (or be willing to obtain)
- Valid Working with Children’s Check/Blue Card
- Demonstrated experience with leading, inspiring and developing teams
- Ability to consistently maintain high productivity during peak periods (O-Week, exam times, recruitment and training, intake) with strong time management skills.
- Strong communication, documentation and presentation skills.
