Role Overview:
In this role, you will lead our team to success at Essence Hotels & UniLodge Carlton. You will be responsible for maximising occupancy, overseeing financial management and delivering an exceptional experience for our guests and residents. As the General Manager, you'll be the main point of contact between our clients and internal teams, ensuring that both Essence’s and the owners' expectations are met to strengthen the Essence brand.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver outstanding service to all customers, ensuring the Essence brand standards are upheld.
- Oversee the property’s financial performance to meet budget goals, including managing revenue, occupancy and expenses.
- Build and develop a high-performing team through effective recruitment, training and coaching – ensuring alignment with company values.
- Maintain strong, proactive relationships with key stakeholders, providing timely updates and reports.
- Ensure the building properly maintained, secure and safe for all occupants.
About You: It is essential that you have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in property management, hotel management or similar field. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to fostering a vibrant community and nurturing meaningful connections with all stakeholders, embodying the Essence commitment to excellence. More about you:
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Hold or have the ability to acquire a Certificate IV in Real Estate/Property
- Hold a valid Responsible Management of Licensed Venues (RMLV) in Victoria.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and driving continuous improvement
- Excellent verbal and written communication, documentation and presentation skills.
