About the role We are on the hunt for multiple individuals to join our after-hours operations team on a part-time basis in Canberra. Resident safety is a top priority for our frontline operations teams. In these newly created roles, you will be responsible for supporting the wellbeing of residents and overall management and responsibility of the building during the overnight hours.
In your role you will gain exposure to a range of tasks and responsibilities including:
- Monitoring building security and safety; performing perimeter checks and resolving issues or emergencies that arise while on duty.
- Carrying out administration tasks including maintaining records, processing payments, audit, reporting, etc.
- Effective incident management during night shift, including grievances and conflict resolution.
- Act as a support to the residents to form a friendly and open point of contact for assistance, information, and welfare.
- Respond to residents calls about noise or disturbances within the building, and lock outs.
- Attend appropriate training and mandatory staff meetings when required.
Our Night Managers (internally known as Community Support Officers) play a key role in fostering a safe, secure, and healthy living environment for all students. If you are someone that thrives in an after-hours role and can confidently work on your own this may be the perfect opportunity for you.
You will be required to work if your regular shift falls on a Public Holiday. Our mandatory requirements include:
- National Police Check (completed within last 3 months)
- Working with Children Check (ACT)
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia
- First Aid + CPR certificate or be willing to obtain one
