The Role - Residential Life Coordinator:
In the role of Residential Life Coordinator (RLC), you will be instrumental in providing the best possible experience to our students. This is a unique opportunity to bring your flair for creative ideas and strategies, to a role in which you will oversee our Residential Life and Wellbeing Program at UniLodge Herston.
As part of a broader Senior Management team, your role will be crucial in promoting and advocating for residential wellbeing, with emphasis on pastoral care and academic matters. You will have the opportunity to develop and organise a holistic calendar of events for residents, to enrich their educational, cultural, and social experience. You will not work alone in your role, as you will be supported by a great team of individuals who are dedicated to delivering a great program and experience for our residents.
Some of the responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- To provide leadership and support in the management and development of the Residential Life and Wellbeing Program.
- To provide exceptional service to all residents, staff, university departments, visitors, suppliers, contractors and associated organisations.
- To establish and maintain a constructive and productive working relationship with all key stakeholders.
- To recruit, train and be responsible for the Residential Advisor teams.
Our Ideal Candidate: You will be enthusiastic and creative in your event planning - always considering the student experience. You will oversee end-to-end program and calendar of events, so your experience in event management, including budgets, planning and implementation is necessary.
To support you in the design and delivery of programs, it is essential that you demonstrate the ability to understand the complexities and challenges of university life, and operational aspects of residential living.
You will be someone our residents can confide in to support them with pastoral care matters; and a warm and friendly individual who has the ability to provide support in challenging situations. Ideally, you will have experience in a similar role, with a focus on leadership, wellbeing, and mental health.
Your dedication towards ensuring that everyone on your team is positioned to succeed is evidenced in your management style – you are supportive; willing to nurture and develop your team, and most importantly you demonstrate a level of commitment towards supporting and creating a fun and inclusive community for staff and residents.
Our mandatory requirements include:
- Eligibility to work in Australia
- National Police Check (completed within last 3 months)
- Working with Children’s Check (Blue Card, QLD).
- State Real Estate Qualification (lodged with the Office of Fair Trading of QLD) or be willing to obtain.
Are you ready to embark on a rewarding career? If you think this role is the right fit for you, we would love to hear from you. We review applications as we get them, and if we discover the ideal candidate, we may close the role earlier than the advertised close date.
