New Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at Western Sydney University Hawkesbury Village on a full time permanent basis. Working across a Monday to Friday roster, you will deliver facilities and building maintenance services, to ensure a safe and secure environment for all building occupants and visitors.
Key Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Effectively and efficiently manage the overall maintenance of apartments, common areas and building exterior
- Complete general repairs such as plumbing, electrical, plant and machinery, light bulb changes, painting, plastering and carpentry
- Communicate with contractors and understand the workings of all equipment
- Obtain written quotes for approval by the University, where required
- Obtain all warranties and operations manuals for all plant equipment
- Establish systems and procedures to facilitate preventative maintenance programs including selection of suppliers and support system, meeting budget and standard requirements as set by management.

What we are looking for:
- Similar experience within student accommodation or hospitality industry
- Trade qualification will be highly regarded
- Confident computer skills including ability to use various systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- You will have a 'safety first' mindset, and an understanding of basic OH&S principles and chemical handling
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- You will possess a positive, can-do attitude
- Valid Australian Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle
- NSW Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
- Current National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
- Valid work rights in Australia
