About the Role:
Opportunity for an experienced Corporate Accountant (Bilingual in Japanese & English) to join our high-performing finance team. In this role, you will play a key role in financial reporting, governance, compliance, and stakeholder engagement within a large and complex multi-entity organisation.
Working closely with senior leaders and Japanese stakeholders, you'll provide accurate financial insights, maintain strong financial controls, and support strategic decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Lead corporate month-end and year-end processes
- Coordinate group consolidations and statutory reporting
- Prepare Board reporting packs and stakeholder presentations
- Act as the key finance contact for Japanese stakeholders, communicating financial performance and key business outcomes
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, taxation, and audit requirements
- Maintain balance sheet integrity and a robust financial control environment
- Identify and implement process and system improvements
Skills & Experience Required: You are a technically strong accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with a diverse range of stakeholders. To this role, you will bring:
- CA or CPA qualification
- Demonstrated experience in a corporate accounting role within a multi-entity organisation
- Fluent Japanese and English language skills (written and verbal)
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/AASB reporting requirements
- Experience with consolidations, statutory reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Knowledge of Australian tax and GST requirements
- Intermediate Excel skills and strong analytical capability
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders.
- AU Working Rights & Valid National Police Check.
