About the Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished General Manager to oversee the operations and performance of Wentworth Quarter, a premium, stabilised Build-to-Rent community managed by Essence Communities.

Supported by a strong performing team that was opened the asset in 2024, this is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the overall performance of the asset – balancing commercial outcomes with an exceptional resident experience to create a thriving, connected and highly desirable community.

What You Will Do:
As General Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the property, acting as the key conduit between the client, senior leadership and the onsite team. You will have end-to-end accountability for asset performance, financial outcomes, leasing, compliance, building
presentation, resident experience and team leadership.

Working across both the lease-up and stabilisation phases, you will play a defining role in establishing Wentworth Quarter as a market-leading Build-to-Rent destination. 

Key Focus Areas will include:

• Leading the overall performance and day-to-day operations of the asset, driving delivery against financial and operational KPIs.
• Maximising asset performance through effective leasing, revenue optimisation, retention strategies and value-add initiatives.
• Empowering a high-performing onsite team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and exceptional service.
• Championing a premium resident experience that builds community, engagement and long-term retention.
• Overseeing leasing performance across lease-up and stabilisation, partnering with the Leasing Manager to maximise occupancy and rental returns.

About You:
  
You are an experienced property or Build-to-Rent leader with a strong commercial mindset and a genuine passion for creating exceptional places for people to live. To this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience leading a large-scale residential, Build-to-Rent, hotel or similarly complex asset.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, forecasts and performance against KPIs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and inspire high-performing teams
• Current NSW Class 1 Real Estate Licence (required).
• Current working rights in Australia and the ability to provide a valid National Police Check.
