Short Description: A hands-on role overseeing the maintenance & day-to-day building management of our newest property in Auckland Central.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance/Building Manager to join our UniLodge Auckland Central team on a full-time permanent basis (40 hours per week across Monday to Friday).
This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining a safe, well-presented, and efficiently run property. You will oversee planned and reactive maintenance, manage contractors, support compliance and health & safety requirements, and provide operational advice to the General Manager.
UniLodge Auckland Central is built amongst a heritage facade, with 758 guest rooms, extensive common areas including a large gymnasium and retail space.
ABOUT YOU
You will be someone who has a strong grasp of building services and maintenance requirements. You are committed to maintaining the property to the highest level of cleanliness and presentation as would be expected of a professional property management company.
Key to your success will be your proven maintenance/building management experience and demonstrated ability to coordinate all OH&S issues, compliance and systems, including emergency management planning and contractor management. Ideally, you will have experience in one of the property sectors. It’s important that you’re a strong communicator, and shall actively champion fostering a safe, secure and healthy living environment for all students.
Key responsibilities for this role will include, but not limited to:
· Oversee day-to-day building maintenance and operations
· Manage planned and reactive maintenance works
· Coordinate and oversee service contractors
· Support compliance, risk management, H&S procedures, and emergency planning
· Assist the General Manager with operations and business planning
· Drive high standards of presentation, safety, and service across the property
In addition you will have:
· Previous experience in the facility/property management industry
· Experience with maintenance/building management (highly regarded)
· Strong knowledge of H&S, compliance, and contractor management skills
· A hands-on approach and commitment to service quality
· Experience working in a new building will be highly regarded
· NZ Police Vetting (required)
