What role will you play You will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the ANU Commons Function Centre by coordinating all event activities, managing client relationships from enquiry to post‑event follow‑up, leading and developing a high‑performing team, and driving revenue growth through strategic planning and service excellence, ensuring the centre operates efficiently, remains competitive, and consistently delivers an outstanding client experience.Some of the responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the ANU Commons Function Centre by maintaining service standards, ensuring WHS and policy compliance, and overseeing staffing and rostering.
- Manage all client interactions from enquiry to post‑event follow‑up, including tours, bookings, event coordination, and accurate financial and booking administration.
- Drive business performance by preparing annual Business and Marketing Plans, monitoring revenue, reporting quarterly, and identifying opportunities to grow bookings and profitability.
- Develop and support a high‑performing team through coaching, performance reviews, and fostering a positive, collaborative, customer‑focused culture.
- Implement marketing initiatives and build strong relationships with universities, agents, and key stakeholders while managing online feedback and testimonials.
- Oversee financial processes, including budgeting support, in line with organisational policies and procedures.
About You: To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Unrestricted Work Rights in Australia.
- Working with Vulnerable People's Check (ACT)
- Proficient with technology and confident in administrative systems.
- Excellent communication skills and professional presentation.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within hospitality or a UniLodge setting.
