About this role:
As Maintenance Manager, you are at the heart of the building’s performance, ensuring every space remains safe, functional, and maintained to a high standard. Bringing together hands-on expertise, planning, and team leadership, you keep daily operations running smoothly while supporting the long-term care of the asset. Partnering closely with our management team, you will help create a reliable, well-maintained living environment that residents trust and enjoy every day.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee day-to-day building maintenance, ensuring all facilities, plant, and equipment remain safe, functional, and maintained to a high standard.
- Deliver preventative maintenance and asset care, managing the Annual Maintenance Plan and Life Cycle Plan to support long-term building performance.
- Coordinate and manage contractors and service providers, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to agreed standards.
- Champion safety, compliance, and risk management, supporting emergency procedures and maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff.
- Provide responsive and professional maintenance support to residents, building positive relationships and contributing to a high-quality living experience.
Your Strengths and Experience:
Technically strong, quality-driven, and safety-focused, you take pride in delivering an exceptional resident experience at UniLodge Kensington. You will also bring:
- A relevant trade qualification (Electrical, Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering highly regarded)
- Proven experience managing contractors, warranties, and defect liability periods (DLP)
- Commercially aware, with the ability to monitor budgets, energy usage, stock levels, and P&L performance
- Strong commercial awareness across budgets, energy usage, stock control, and P&L performance
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia & National Police Check.
