As our Residential Life Manager, you will create a welcoming, inclusive environment where residents feel connected and cared for. Take the lead in wellbeing initiatives, mentor a team of Residential Advisors, and bring our community to life through meaningful programs and events at the University of Sydney Portfolio.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of programs and events that foster community engagement, wellbeing, and student success.
- Recruit, train, coach, and motivate RAs to deliver high-quality support, build positive relationships, and uphold community standards.
- Monitor resident welfare, provide guidance and referrals, and work closely with university and local support services to ensure holistic care.
- Build a positive community culture that promotes belonging, safety, diversity, and mutual respect among residents and staff.
- Maintain effective communication and partnerships with university departments, contractors, and internal teams to deliver exceptional service and community outcomes.
Your Strengths and Experience: You’re a people-focused leader who thrives in a vibrant, community-oriented environment. You bring empathy, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for supporting student wellbeing.
You’ll also have:
- Experience leading, inspiring, and developing teams – you know how to bring out the best in others.
- Previous experience in a similar role, with a solid understanding of wellbeing, empathy, and mental health literacy
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to stay on top of competing priorities during peak periods like O-Week, exams, and student intakes
- Unlimited working rights in Australia
- A valid National Police Check + WWWC
