We are seeking an Night Coordinator to join the team in Christchurch. You will be responsible for supporting the pastoral care, safety and security of our hall of residence in the evening. You shall be performing various administrative and support services and fostering a safe, secure and healthy living environment.
ABOUT THE ROLE - Part Time position: A rotating roster of 30 hours per week working across Thursday, Friday and Saturday
- Primary working hours between 5:30PM – 4:00AM
- Manage, record and promptly resolve issues or emergencies that arise while on duty
- Represent the company in addressing student behaviour
- Act as a friendly point of contact for residents
- Be an active member of the emergency response team during shift times
- Assist with after-hours check in’s & customer service enquiries
- Maintaining a full and detailed log of all incidents and call-outs throughout each shift
- Complete all back or front-office duties as handed over by day team
- Perform perimeter checks, manage in-house quiet hours, attend to emergencies and lockouts
- Ensure the safety, security and smooth running of all other property operations in the absence of Senior Management
ABOUT YOU - Experience in providing support and care in a residential environment
- Experience in providing hands on operational after-hours and incident management, working independently and as part of a team
- Previous operational and/or customer service experience preferred
- You are comfortable working non-typical evening hours
- Competent with computers and software systems
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to problem-solve and manage conflict
- Ability to relate with young university students and other key stakeholders
- Full and clean NZ Drivers license
- A focus on service and quality with the passion to deliver outstanding experiences
- Police Vetting Check (must be willing to obtain at own expense and required for this position)
