The build to rent model in Australia is a new way of renting that offers long-term security and flexible leases, with more options for tenants. Under build to rent Australia, one organisation owns the entire building and the rental units are leased individually. This single-ownership model allows secure rental terms for residents while accessing the benefits of professional property management. BTR offers a premium experience to residents, with leasing flexibility, an easy move-in process, on-site management and an inclusion offer of a range of services and facilities to make your apartment your home (such as a gym, entertainment areas, outdoor dining and a pool to name a few!).

Role Overview:  

Be part of a bold new chapter in Sydney’s BTR scene as our property in Zetland makes its debut. As Leasing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the leasing experience and driving the success of this landmark asset. You will lead the delivery of a refined leasing strategy - optimising rent, maximising occupancy, and achieving retention goals - while ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to excellence.

With a focus on empathy, connection and joy, you’ll create a premium journey for prospects and foster meaningful relationships with residents, ensuring our community thrives. This is an opportunity to set the benchmark for leasing excellence with passion, purpose and precision.
 
Key Responsibilities include:  

• Build the ultimate resident experience that exceeds service expectations by implementing reassurance, memorable moments and joy in a safe and stable environment 
• Drive initiatives to optimise rental returns, occupancy, and tenant retention in alignment with business goals.
• Follow the companies procedures and implement in property procedures that will improve operations.  
• Deliver a premium, customer-focused leasing journey—from enquiry through to move-in - reflecting our brand values and service standards.
• Build strong relationships with residents to encourage renewals and contribute to a cohesive, thriving community.
• Provide accurate reporting, market insights, and recommendations to inform strategic decisions and ensure KPIs are met.
• Think outside the box to create a joyful work environment that will reflect empathy and joy in resident interactions

Zetland is an urban oasis, design-led BTR community based 5km south of the Sydney CBD. This development is situated at the centre of Zetland's warehousing industry and features a six-level mixed-use property with 135 residences. ​Purpose-built as a unified rental offering, the property boasts a sophisticated range of lifestyle amenities including a fully equipped gym, co-working spaces, library, yoga lawn and communal terrace.  
  
About You:  
  
With a background in BTR, property or hotels, you will possess a strong understanding of commercial acumen, rental market dynamics, pricing strategies, and resident engagement. As a strong leader, you will inspire teams, excel in communication, problem-solving, and deliver high-end customer service experiences. More about you: 

• Detail orientated and results-driven, with a commitment to exceeding targets and performance indicators.  
• Ability to lead with empathy, connection and develop a joyful environment for your team and residents  
• Experience in building management – Understanding stakeholder interactions and requirements to create a safe environment,  
• Understanding of the legislation 
• Valid Full Real Estate Licence  
• Proven leasing experience in the residential, commercial, and/or retail property sector 
• Demonstrated ability to meet targets and exceed KPI’s 
• Strong financial acumen with a sharp eye for performance and profitability 
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia 
• Valid National Police Check
