THE ROLE
As the Residential Life Coordinator, you will work alongside a team of people to build and nurture residential life in a student accommodation environment. You will play a key role in working with residents to ensure their study/life balance is good and providing support throughout their studies. Some of your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Provide leadership and support in the management and development of the Residential Life Program.
- Assist the Residential Life Manager in the design, development, implementation, and management of the Community Spirit Program.
- Provide exceptional service to all internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and management of the Residential Advisor team.
- The general monitoring of resident wellbeing.
- Be an active member of the emergency response team during shift times and after hours when required.
The successful applicant must be available to work Monday to Friday, with after hours shifts.
KEY CRITERIA - Unrestricted work rights in Australia
- Valid National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
- Working with Children's Check
- Wellbeing and mental health literacy
- Previous experience in the formulation and management of budgets for events, including events planning and implementation.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
- High level of competency in a range of software packages including MS Publisher, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to manage and resolve conflict in a diverse environment.
- Ability to develop new ideas and engaging events, then formulate plans to deliver them.
- First Aid certified.
- Ability to research and develop evidence-based programs and policies.
- High productivity levels in preparation for peak periods (O-Week, exam periods, recruitment and training, intake) and excellent time management skills.
