Our Opportunity As Duty Manager, you’ll be the key point of contact during evening hours, ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our student residents.
With a calm, solutions-focused approach, you’ll oversee the smooth operation of the property in the absence of senior management - responding to incidents, supporting residents, and maintaining a strong front-of-house presence.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead the after-hours response to incidents, fire alarms, medical situations, and resident concerns, ensuring swift action and appropriate escalation.
- Act as a visible and approachable presence, offering guidance and assisting with welfare, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Manage all aspects of property operations after hours, addressing maintenance issues and ensuring continuity in the absence of senior staff.
- Conduct routine checks to uphold safety, cleanliness, and compliance across the site, reporting any risks or incidents promptly.
- Keep detailed records of incidents and activities, providing clear handovers and updates to management and day staff.
Skills & ExperienceTo be successful in this role, ideally you will have:
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle, with flexibility for occasional inter-site travel.
- Valid Working with Vulnerable People's Check (WWVP)
- First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain)
- Experience working in a similar role (desirable)
