The Role:
Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, your role as Housekeeping Room Attendant is to provide passionate, friendly, and professional service to all hotel guests and visitors whilst servicing & cleaning all allocated guest rooms ensuring all tasks are completed at or above the required standard and within the set timeframes.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness of guest rooms, guest corridors, linen room/pantries according to procedure & checklists
- Comply with guest privacy and security procedures
- Responsible for the master floor keys that you sign in & out each shift and ensure they remain secure throughout your shift and returned at the end of shift
- Attend all briefings, meetings and training as assigned by management
- Manage guest complaints immediately if possible or escalate where necessary to the Housekeeping Supervisor
- Understand and ensure the safe usage and storage of cleaning/ chemical agents in line with health & safety regulations.
To be successful for this role:
- Can demonstrate minimum 12 months’ experience in a similar role
- Ability to use computer tablets and mobile phones for housekeeping tasks
- Good oral and written proficiency in English language
- Can multi-task, and work well in high pressure situations
- You will be well presented and always professionally groomed
- Hold valid working rights in Australia
- Be willing to obtain a National Police Check
