Senior Accountant – The Role
UniLodge & Essence Australia has an exciting opportunity for a finance professional seeking autonomy, variety, and the chance to make a meaningful impact. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders, property managers, and building owners, while also guiding junior team members and identifying opportunities for process improvement. In this role, you’ll lead the preparation and review of management accounts across our expanding portfolio of properties in Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities include:
Prepare and review monthly reporting packs across a diverse property portfolio, including P&L, Balance Sheet and GST reconciliations, cash flow statements, providing variance commentary against budget and forecast
Lead monthly performance meetings with Property teams and clients, providing clear and actionable financial commentary
Collaborate with Property Managers to support budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial reviews
Produce accurate quarterly and annual financial reports for property owners in line with contractual requirements
Mentor and support junior finance team members, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and financial insight
Our Successful Candidate
Unrestricting working rights in Australia
Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Business + nearing completion of CA/CPA accreditation
Minimum 5 years’ experience within a similar role in finance
Proficiency in multi-entity accounting, variance analysis, and budgeting/forecasting
Strong communicator, both written and verbal – able to present financials with confidence
Experience with Microsoft Business Central and/or BI360 (desirable)
