What role you will play UniLodge is committed to a high quality and enriched educational, cultural, and social experience for all its residents. Accommodation residences play an important role in underpinning the academic and social experience of student residents.
As the Residential Life Coordinator, you will work alongside a team of people to build and nurture residential life in a student accommodation environment. You will play a key role in working with residents to ensure their study/life balance is good and providing support throughout their studies. There are lots of qualities that we look for in our team, but above all we need people who are resilient, supportive, caring, hands on and positive. You will enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds, as well as planning and running a robust events and activities program. Some of your essential skills include strong written and verbal communication skills, good computer skills, solid planning, and organisational skills and a “we care” attitude.
About this role As a Residential Life Coordinator, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Assist the Residential Life Manager the design, development, implementation and management Residential Life and Wellbeing Program ensuring a balanced variety of events.
- Monitoring and supporting the wellbeing of residents, providing aid when problems arise.
- Provide on-call after-hours assistance as the primary contact for residents in relation to all situations that may arise.
- Play an active role in the incident response and management team during shift times and after-hours, and maintain incident records.
What we’re looking for - A background in reception or hospitality will provide you with a good grounding for this role
- A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Resilience and ability to work under high pressure, and a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- High levels of computer literacy with ability to learn new systems
- Someone who exercises a “we care” attitude.
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia
- National Police Check (completed within last 3 months), at your own cost
- Working with Children’s Check (NSW)
- Ability to commit to a 38-hour work week, across a Monday – Sunday roster
