Job Overview
The Sales Advisor is a customer-focused retail role responsible for delivering excellent service across both in-store sales and Click & Collect/Shop & Collect operations at Auckland Airport. The role involves assisting customers, processing transactions, preparing customer orders, maintaining stock and store presentation, and supporting overall store operations. Flexibility is required to work across both retail sales and collections functions based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service
Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and phone calls.
Resolve customer issues and escalate when necessary.
Maintain product knowledge to provide accurate advice and support sales.
Sales & Transactions
Process sales transactions accurately, including cash, cards, vouchers, foreign currency, and UnionPay.
Handle refunds and exchanges according to company policies.
Promote products and participate in sales promotions.
Follow correct point-of-sale procedures to minimise transaction errors.
Stock Control & Merchandising
Maintain store presentation and merchandising standards.
Replenish stock and keep shelves well-stocked.
Assist with stock checks and inventory control.
Report damaged, faulty, missing, or lost stock.
Collections Operations
Support Click & Collect and Shop & Collect services.
Prepare, process, and dispatch customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Ensure orders are completed with a high level of accuracy and urgency.
Compliance & Security
Follow company policies regarding cash handling, stock control, and promotions.
Comply with customs, duty-free, airport, and security regulations.
Protect company assets and report any misuse or security concerns.
Teamwork & Professional Conduct
Work collaboratively with colleagues and management.
Maintain professional behaviour and appearance.
Adapt to operational changes and support team objectives.
Attendance & Training
Attend work punctually and follow rostered schedules.
Participate in training sessions, meetings, and performance reviews.
Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
