A leading global Travel Retailer, at Auckland Airport are looking for Counter Manager to join their team at Auckland Airport, working with some of the world's leading brands.
JOB OVERVIEW
The Counter Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and overall effective performance of your assigned Counter. Working as part of the broader management team, you will ensure that overall performance targets are achieved in relation to profit contribution, quality and landlord expectations.
You will apply leadership and strategic planning capabilities to ensure continuous improvement in all key result areas, a team-oriented approach to the development of employees and build value added partnerships with our landlords.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
Deliver outstanding customer service and product recommendations.
Drive sales through cross-selling and up-selling techniques.
Resolve customer concerns and ensure a positive shopping experience.
Process sales transactions accurately.
Counter & Retail Operations
Oversee daily counter operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Monitor stock levels, inventory accuracy, testers, and promotional items.
Ensure visual merchandising and brand standards are maintained.
Support promotional campaigns and incentive programs.
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and motivate team members to achieve sales and service goals.
Train staff on product knowledge and selling techniques.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
Loss Prevention & Compliance
Monitor security and loss prevention procedures.
Conduct stock audits and investigate discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with company policies, airport security requirements, and operational standards.
Product & Brand Management
Act as the brand expert for beauty and skincare products.
Analyse sales trends and product performance.
Coordinate with warehouse, suppliers, and brand partners.
Maintain product quality, merchandising standards, and stock availability.
Health & Safety
Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
Report hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
Job Requirements:
Previous retail leadership experience (Team Leader, Supervisor, or higher).
Experience in beauty, cosmetics, skincare, or related retail sectors.
Strong sales and customer service skills.
Experience using Point of Sale (POS) systems.
Cash handling experience.
Good computer literacy.
