An integrated facility service provider at Auckland Airport is looking for Cleaning team member for the periodic team.
An Airport Periodic Floor and Carpet Cleaning Team Member is responsible for deep cleaning and maintaining airport floors, carpets, terminals, lounges, offices, and public areas to ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment for passengers and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled deep cleaning of airport floors and carpets
- Operate industrial cleaning equipment including:
- Floor scrubbers
- Buffing and polishing machines
- Carpet extraction and shampoo machines
- Wet and dry vacuum cleaners
- Strip, seal, polish, and buff hard floor surfaces
- Shampoo, steam clean, and remove stains from carpets and rugs
- Clean airport terminals, boarding gates, lounges, restrooms, corridors, and office areas
- Handle spill response and maintain safety in high-traffic areas
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely according to airport procedures
- Follow airport health, safety, and security regulations
- Report floor damage, hazards, or maintenance issues to supervisors
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies properly
- Work efficiently during night shifts or low-traffic hours to minimize passenger disruption
Job Requirements - Previous experience in floor or carpet cleaning preferred
- Ability to operate industrial cleaning machines
- Physically fit and able to stand, walk, and lift equipment for extended periods
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, nights, and public holidays
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to pass airport security and background checks
- Must have reliable transport and full DL
