The Production Chef works as part of a team to produce high quality food items according to approved
specification/recipes. The work is done in compliance with all food safety (including HACCP), quality and
safety guidelines, regulations and company policies.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To work in the kitchen area cooking, preparing and assembling food\
- Follows recipes; prepares and cook products to specification and ensure quality of products is maintained at all times in accordance with customer expectations
- To maintain awareness of department and possess knowledge of customer products and requirements
- Ensure all special meal requirements are strictly adhered to (including Halal standards and allergen management)
- Ensure full understanding and follow all legal and company requirements in line with food safety, site security, quality and health and safety standards, policies and procedures
- To assist in meeting Production targets as set by Line Managers.
- Actively participate in key team activities including shift briefings, site and security audits and proactively contribute to continuous improvement through tasting and idea sharing
- Monitor quality to ensure it consistently meetings customer standards
- Provide direction, training and supervision to kitchen workers as required
- Undertake yield testing of product through all processes i.e. raw to cook / assembly.
- Cleans equipment, work surfaces and areas, applying 'clean as you go' policy and procedure (e.g. keep floor and general working area clean and tidy at all times).
- Perform any additional duties reasonably assigned by management in line with business needs

- Must have full driver license and reliable transport
Qualifications - Qualification as a Chef by trade or equivalent practical experience in a large scale food production environment
- Completed vocational training in culinary and related hygiene course preferred
- Work experience in a large-scale kitchen production required.
Pay rate: $33 per hour
Working Days & hours: Rotating roster 7 days between 5am - 10pm
