A global aviation services company providing a range of ground-handling and support services in the Auckland Airport Precinct are seeking Aircraft Cleaners.
Aircraft Cleaning team is responsible for providing cleaning services to a high standard to meet both customer and company policies, standards and safety requirements.
Main Accountabilities
1. Operations
- Responsible for the cleaning of all areas within the aircraft to a high standard so as to ensure complete satisfaction of passengers and the airline. This includes and is not limited to all ceilings, panels, lights, windows, seats, floors, carpets, galleys, bathrooms, curtains, cupboards, storage locations and tray tables.
- Servicing and replenishment of all lavatory and cabin dry stores as supplied and requested by the airline such as pillowslips, blankets, headrests, consumables and seat pocket items.
- Ensuring Bio-Security Regulations are adhered to and no food is removed from the aircraft or taken onto the aircraft for personal use or consumption.
- Undertaking general housekeeping and cleaning of Company vehicle trucks, facilities, toilets and any other work areas which fall under the responsibility of cleaning services department.
- Assisting with loading new linen and offloading soiled linen.
- Ensuring appropriate PPE gloves, chemicals and equipment are used in accordance with Menzies Aviation's processes and procedures.
- Storeroom duties as required by the Cleaning Services Manager.
2. Safety
- Working in a safe, clean and responsible manner so as to conform to OSH regulations and company standards.
- Use of appropriate safety gear at all times. This includes, but not limited to, ear protection, uniform and gloves.
- Ensuring Company policies, rules and Occupational Safety and Health Act 2004 legislative requirements are adhered to.
- Reporting incidents and behaviour which does not meet company policies or standards.
Safety, Security, Wellbeing and Compliance:
- Follow all health, safety, security, and wellbeing policies, including compliance with the company's zero-tolerance drugs and alcohol policy.
- Report hazards, incidents, unsafe conditions, or security concerns promptly and work safely in line with company procedures and training.
- Cooperate with management, attend required training, and use company equipment responsibly to maintain a safe and secure workplace.
Job Requirements - A minimum of three (3) years secondary school education.
- Holds a Full New Zealand Class 1 Driver's License
- Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, and wind, with limited or no shelter)
- Physically fit and no history of medical injuries or conditions.
- Efficient, Reliable, and well presented.
- Technology savvy
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Flexible and available for shift work which includes early starts, late finishes, weekend, and public holiday work.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work on a team.
- Attention to detail.
- Knowledge of aircraft safety procedures. (Ideal)
- Must be able to demonstrate problem-solving abilities.
- Must pass all pre-employment checks (MoJ, Medical and Reference) to gain airside permit
Pay rate: $25.84
Working Days & Hours: 24/7 rostered shifts
