Landside Operations Officer

Auckland Airport is currently looking for Landside Operations Officer for their Terminal Operations.
Key Accountabilities:
Terminal Duties
Completing facility/service audits.
Crowd Control and Queue management.
Coordinate Evacuation of terminals as required.
Where required, first responders to General 1st Aid, Security breaches, etc.
All facility/service audits completed and any follow-up action required has been implemented.
General Operations and Reception Duties
Call taking of general enquiries, flight information.
Fault logging and reporting.
Dispatching of Maintenance/Trade staff and other services as required.
Issuing Contractors Permits, keys and access cards.
Receiving and releasing Lost and Found Property items.
Enquiries and complaints are handled in a professional manner without escalation.
Communications
Update Airport Flight Information systems. Which includes carousel and counter allocations.
Public Announcements.
Administration.
Incident Control
Incident call-taking and dispatching.
Monitor and operate all emergency alerting systems.
Logging and recording all details relating to emergency incidents.
Event logging, recording and reporting of all details relating to security incidents.
Support Monitoring with operating CCTV systems.
Monitoring
Security call-taking and dispatching.
Monitor and Operate the Security Access System.
Event logging, recording and reporting of all details relating to security incidents.
Operating CCTV systems.
Activate "Group Call" systems during an emergency.

Job Requirements
Excellent communication skills in verbal and writing (radio comms experience is a bonus)
Good decision-making skills (be able to talk to specific examples where they have successfully made solid decisions under pressure)
Experience in frontline customer service and outstanding Customer Service skills
Basic computer and keyboard skills
Ability to communicate with people from all backgrounds.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work as an individual and team player.
Must have current NZ Full driver's license.
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
Must be able to lift at least 23kgs.
Experience in operational call-center/Dispatch environment.
Have reliable transport.
Knowledge of Microsoft office Word, Excel, Teams and outlook
Experience in a large operational environment
Ability to articulate and verbally communicate efficiently
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes and procedures.
Ability and desire to learn the role requirements through classroom training, online and on-the-job training.
Must pass all pre-employment checks.
Must be able to work 24/7 shifts.
Working days & Hours:
6 days on 3 days off - 3 mornings 6am-3pm, 3 afternoons 2:30pm - 11pm with set rotations of 6 nights 2230 - 0700
