An independent communications and networking consultancy in the Auckland Airport precinct is looking for a full-time, permanent Apprentice Technician.
About the Role:
This is an entry-level job — no experience is needed. If you've got a good attitude, you're reliable, and you want to learn, employer will teach you everything you need to know. You'll be working with and mentored by the senior technicians installing copper cables, fibre, and ICT equipment across many different projects like Auckland Airport. You'll get hands-on training, real career opportunities, and support to gain valuable skills and career progression.
What You'll Do:
Help install and test data and fibre cabling.
Assist with installing equipment like Wi-Fi, network switches and display screens.
Keep tools, gear, and worksites tidy and safe.
Learn on the job from experienced technicians.
Follow safety rules and company procedures.
Job Requirements:
No experience required — just a positive attitude.
Reliable, willing to work hard, and keen to learn.
Team player who listens and follows instructions.
Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work.
A restricted or full NZ driver's licence is preferred.
Must pass Ministry of Justice check and other pre-employment checks.
Reliable transport to get to work.
Expected Attendance: Monday - Friday (40-45 hrs per week). Expected start time 7am and finish between 3:30 - 4:30 pm.
Pay Details: $30 per hour
