An International logistics provider handling the Import and Export of both Dry and Perishable Cargo by Air and Ocean, Customs Brokerage, Event Logistics and Third-Party Logistics is seeking a full time Warehouse store person to join their Auckland Airport based team.

The Role:

• This is a full-time permanent position working the afternoon/night shift from May – December and day shift from January – April.
• The successful applicant must be flexible with work hours and days as these will vary depending on work levels and seasonality of perishable products.
• This position involves general warehouse duties including:
  1. the checking in of import cargo
  2. loading and unloading of air and ocean freight consignments
  3. pick and pack of customer orders, along with a good knowledge and understanding of 3PL processes and systems.
• Sun to Thur - 4pm to mid night. (May – Dec). 

Job Requirements: 

• Previous experience in a chiller warehouse environment is preferable.
• Preference will also be given to candidates with previous Produce handling experience and a good understanding of Import Biosecurity requirements. Candidates with MPI certification would be given priority.
• You must have a current class 1 drivers licence (Restricted or Full) and reliable means of getting to and from work.
• Applicants need to be flexible with work hours and days, weekend work may be required.
• A current forklift licence is essential.
• You must be physically fit as there will be heavy lifting involved.
• Must have good awareness and knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
• Honest, reliable, have good communication skills, be willing to accept responsibility and work hard.
• You must have a clean criminal record, be willing to undertake a Ministry of Justice Security Check and a pre-employment drug test.
