We have an exciting up-coming opportunity for a Clinician to join our team at Beechworth. Located in the hills of Beechworth this role is located in a low security prison and houses male prisoners who are at the end of their sentence.
The Clinician will be primarily responsible for program service delivery to complex and challenging clients both group and individual work. The AOD treatment programs range from criminogenic group programs to health stream programs, focusing on release back into the wider community. Assessments and individual counselling is also offered. About You
The role requires a highly skilled clinician with proven experience working within a forensic setting.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate
Fully registered psychologists, provisional psychologists, social workers and AOD counsellors are invited to apply. Who we are
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport and set boundaries with the offending population
- Experience in delivering counselling or therapy within a forensic or clinical setting
- Experience of working with clients that present with substance issues
- Sound knowledge of the AOD sector within Victoria (highly regarded)
- Experience with clinical service delivery is essential.
