Our client, a global technology leader, is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Procurement to lead and modernize its indirect procurement function across North America.
This high-impact leadership role will be responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiations, spend optimization, procurement governance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will partner closely with Finance, IT, Legal, HR, Marketing, and senior leadership to drive cost savings, strengthen controls, and enhance procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead indirect procurement strategies, sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and vendor performance management.
- Oversee major spend categories including IT, professional services, travel, corporate services, financial services, and insurance.
- Drive cost savings, process improvements, supplier optimization, and risk mitigation initiatives.
- Manage procurement policies, governance, vendor compliance, and contract review processes.
- Partner cross-functionally to support procurement planning, budgeting, and operational efficiency.
- Track procurement metrics, spending trends, and savings opportunities while presenting recommendations to leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain experience.
- Prior leadership experience managing procurement initiatives and cross-functional teams.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, contract review, and cost analysis skills.
- Experience with indirect procurement categories such as IT, travel, professional services, corporate services, or insurance.
- SAP or ERP experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
