The Wilner Group has partnered with our client, a consulting engineering firm that has been in business since 1976 and earned an excellent reputation for delivering comprehensive engineering services. Their team takes a coordinated approach to managing projects from concept through completion. Together, we are seeking an experienced Inspector to join their team on-site in Parsippany, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Inspect compacted fills, utility installations, deep foundations, and concrete/rebar work.
• Conduct pile inspections, dynamic compaction observation, and geotechnical lab testing.
• Verify structural dimensions, alignment, elevations, and construction layouts.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and construction safety standards.
• Travel extensively (100%), including potential out-of-state assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, or related field preferred; HS diploma with 1–4 years’ experience accepted.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and technical drawings.
• Experience inspecting foundations, utilities, retaining walls, asphalt, and sitework.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification required.
• Certifications such as ACI, NICET, NJ DCA Special Inspector, or Nuclear Densometer a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Adobe, and NitroPro.
• Comfortable using field tools (e.g., shovel, hand auger, Nuclear Density Gauge).

Compensation $50K – $70K based on experience.
