Who our client is:

Our client is one of the world's largest processors of micronized polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), and a leading worldwide manufacturer and supplier of a broad line of specialty products. They are a family-owned business with over 80 years of service and continue to innovate and provide technical service to customers worldwide. Together we are searching for a Technical Director to join their team at their Newark, NJ location.

Requirements:            

• Lead and sponsor the global technical team, fostering a culture of collaboration, ethical behavior, continuous improvement, professional development, and accountability.
• Train and develop the North American group of laboratories, assigning projects, appraising individual performance, and ensuring that high efficiency and quality standards are met.
• Organize and oversee the technical team through effective recruiting, retaining, training, and professional development.
• Administer and prepare laboratory budgets.

  
Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in specialty additives, polymers, coatings, or chemical industries required, with a strong focus on polymers and chemical formulation.
• 5+ years of management experience preferred.

Compensation: $160K-$180k based on experience.
