Who our client is:
A leading global manufacturer for the beauty industry. Their century of industry expertise, expansive product portfolio, and 12 strategically located manufacturing facilities across North America, Europe, South America, and Asia allow us to deliver unparalleled end-to-end solutions on a global scale. Together, we are searching for a Staff Accountant to join their team on-site at their Saddle Brook, NJ location. HYBRID SCHEDULE- 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Requirements:            

• Perform and manage all month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Preparation and review of financial statements to ensure transactions and consolidations are properly reflected and by U.S. GAAP.
• Compare actual financial performance against prior year, budget, and forecasted results and provide meaningful explanations of fluctuations/discrepancies.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

• Bachelor's Degree, Accounting or Finance; MBA and/or CPA a plus.
• 3 -5 years of related accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment/business.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting, variance analysis, and establishment of cost estimates.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Extensive working experience with general ledger and financial statements.
